Anyone living in Santa Monica or Venice Beach area?

Hi. We may be relocating from Surrey to California. We're coming out to have a look around in two weeks so I wondered if any of you live in the area who could give us insider tips?

I'm closing this thread as not to recreate everything that's been said in your existing thread. In that thread, you can just say you've narrowed it down to Santa Monica or Venice Beach, and would like more details on those two areas.
