Anyone living in Fairfax County, VA
MOving to Herndon (Fox Mill) in July and wondering if there are any ex-pats in the area?

The DC area is actually one of the most diverse ones you'll come across in terms of the international community. Folks from all over the place reside near DC working with embassies, international media, or NGOs that are based in DC, along with the large multi-national corporations that have set up shop near there.
Try to get into DC proper from time to time, catch a football match on tele at Lucky Bar near Dupont Circle or Summers in Arlington. The embassy also has some events that are open to the expat community from time to time. I think the WIKI here has more details on DC in the city guides.
http://www.city-data.com/forum/northern-virginia/ might give you more specifics about neighborhoods, commutes, schools, etc.
