Sorry I am sure this has been asked before, but I'm new :)

I'm in central Indiana, one the southside of Indianapolis. I'm from Kent and married to an Indy guy who I met when I came over for my uni internship.

I haven't made the drive down yet but will make more of an effort when the weather gets better.

A friend of mine has also set up a group on Facebook.

Hi, I live in Fort Wayne and set up British and in Fort Wayne on facebook. I went to the Fishers meet up last night and had a great time. I was hoping we could do something similar in FW, maybe at JKO's.

It's a small world. The funniest thing is, everyone here asks me how I ended up here as none of my American family are originally from here (they're from Florida and Cinci in OH).

N Manchester is a cute town but *small*. One thing I noticed here is people judge the size of towns by how many stop lights you have!

Looks like there's a number of people in Fort Wayne! Unfortunately I live on the Southside of Indianapolis and seem to be the only Brit this side of the city. I need to try and make it to the next meetup in FIshers though.

Now this is probably old 'everyone knows that' kinda thing but I'll mention it anyway.

I went to the Broad Ripple Brew Pub (842 E65th Street, Indianapolis) the other day. It's the closest I've seen a USA bar come to being an English style pub. For a start the beer actually comes in a UK pint glass (luxury!) - if you haven't been there then it's worth a trip.

The owner is originally from Middlesbrough.

Anyone from Indianapolis know any hotels/B&B's within walking distance of this place? I can't find any at all.

Timberhut, there are a couple of pubs/bars in and around Indy that might be what you're looking for.
There's Chatham Tap which is downtown on Massachusetts Ave, good place to go and watch a footie game.
Fionn Mccools which although is an Irish place, has a good selection of beer including Speckled Hen on tap. (96th St)

Indianapolis has come a long way in the nine years I've been living here, otherwise I might have buggered on back home.
