Anyone in Hoover, AL?
Just curious,
I have a buddy down there from the Uk who is a bit homesick. Maybe a brit accent would cheer the miserable sod up. Anybody down there?

Hoover is in the Birmingham metroplex, as am I...though the only English accent I could put on would be worse than Mel Gibson's Scottish from Braveheart- or Kevin Costner's accent from Robin Hood. I joined the forum for immigration advice- not because I am an Anglophile...though now after 4 years coming here, I almost feel duty bound to go to the UK if for nothing else than to eat 'proper, fish and chips, curry and a Cornish Pasty.
I am a Conservative, which over the last few years has very little to do with the current version of the Republican Party or at least those leading it.

My Spanish wife might take exception to being called British (and maybe even 'normal'!!) as she is 100% Española...Iberian bred and born.
