Anyone had a holiday on the West Coast of Mexico?

I want to go somewhere not too far from me (Nor-Cal). All inclusive is ok and it needs to be kid friendly - when I say that, I mean I want to drop them off in the arrivals louge with a nanny and meet them a week later in the departures lounge. :D
I have heard Los Cabos is good but is it like Ibiza? :eek:
Any input from you lovely people would be greatly appreciated.
Now, I'm off to watch American Idol :o
