Well after a battery of blood work, everything came back fine and dandy. They tested B12 and thyroid function as well, both are normal.
If it were my guess, I'd say it's my brain causing the trouble, it doesn't work right to begin with, so whose to say it doesn't send the wrong signals to parts of the body.

I suspect the high heart rate opens up (dilates) the blood vessels and gets more blood to the brain.

Ketamine (INN) is a medication used mainly for starting and maintaining anesthesia. Other uses include sedation in intensive care, as a pain killer, as treatment ofbronchospasm, as a treatment for complex regional pain syndrome and as an antidepressant. It induces a trance like state while providing pain relief, sedation, andmemory loss.[2] Heart function, breathing, and airway reflexes generally remain functional.[2]

It's been used as a street drug and 17 clinics and providers (mostly anesthesiologist) have been using it to treat depressions. It's not FDA approved for depressions so not covered by medical insurance.

One of the pills I take is off label, not approved specifically for what I take it for, but it's been effective and its completely covered as well for me.
Many mental health medications are used for off label purposes.

It might be covered by some insurance, off label use of medications is nothing new.

I suspect it is not one of the treatments that is required to be covered under ACA.

Unfortunately there isn't any proven medical treatment for fatigue when tests are normal. Your best hope is to exercise getting your heart rate up to 75%-85% of maximum for a minimum of 30 minutes per day for at least 5 days per week. If you can do it for 45 minutes per day or longer, that is even better and results should start occurring in about 3 weeks. That seems to be a good treatment for depressions also.

This is a seriously scary drug to see in use.
The hospital used this on my daughter when she broke her arm, so she wouldn't feel, hear or remember them re-setting it, as her wrist was flopping by her elbow at the time.
She was in a dazed haze for quite a while and had no idea of what was going on and no memory of the few hours before and after.

Winter it's hard to fit in any kind of activity between the short days, (dark when leaving for work, dark when going home) rain, cold, snow and so on, but my job is pretty active, lots of walking, but all on concrete so I end up being sore by the end of the day.
I am going to take swim lessons and try to learn to swim, since it's about as low impact activity I can think of.
I have chronic pain as well, mostly in my back, knees, and wrists, but no reason why.

I am pretty active in the summer, riding my bike nearly daily for 30-45 minutes. Other then soreness, I can't say it helps me feel better...
