Our Commercial Department is skeleton staffed today. I "volunteered" because the Brits lost the War of Independance the other guy is a Jehovah's Witness who doesn't celebrate anniversaries.

My wife Carol is working today, but hopefully she will have Friday off. We plan on going to Orlando for the weekend, (NO not visiting Mickey Mouse and friends lol). Might visit a few wineries and possibly get down to Kennedy Space Center.

I was called in at 2am this morning when a system went down.

Actually we have very intellectual conversations, rare in a car dealership. He only tried to convert me once, which was a waste of his time from my point of view but not from his.

It's quite interesting, we are poles apart on religious matters but in the same vein on ethical ones. We have the same values of honesty and straight dealing in both business and personal relationships.

He has admitted to me that he realises that the religious do not have the monopoly on behaving well and we agree that the religious often use their faiths to justify behaving very badly. Check the current administration.

I learned today that he does not, seemingly, know what is special about the 4th of July.

The longer I know him the more amazed I am by how closeted is the upbringing of the JWs. They do not watch TV and do not read the news, apparently. He has a wide screen TV but just to play videos.
