Any way to get Canadian tourist visa for Chinese citizen?
I am still in Nebraska limboland and am wondering how difficult it would be for my fiancee to visit Canada and save me a trip to China. She could come over for the holidays and meet my family.
Does the fact that I have a U.S. visa application on file have any effect with our Northern neighbors? It's not like she is going to stay there - we just want to see the sites, spend a few Canadian dollars and thank the Canadians for their hospitality.
Has anyone tried this? I would hate to get a visa rejection on her nice clean passport.
For those of you who may be wondering, NO, I have no intention of sneaking her across the boarder! No way I am going to screw this up at this point. Besides, it would be much easier in a sailboat in the summer Just KIDDING!

This seems unlikely but I don't know for sure

Try misc.immigration.canada or search google for the Canadian equivalent
to INS

What's my problem? I fly to China every 3-4 weeks and it is beginning to impact my business a bit. Also, my fiancee would like to travel a bit herself and her schedule is much more flexible than mine.

Tell her to just go the Canadian consulate and apply for a tourist visa, It's not that difficult to get, I got it in one day.
(I'm not a Chinese citizen, but I am from one of the countries that Canada requires a tourist visa from)..
She can say she's going to visit her fiance- if you can fax her any thing that proves you're there, and that she's gonna visit you- perhaps an invitation letter (sometimes they require that)- it should be fine.
Also attach a copy of the itinerary that shows she's planning to return.
Good luck.
