Default any uk lawyers on h1-b or TN?

hi
i am a uk lawyer living in BC, planning to take washington bar o6. Long term goal is to live/work in states.
may go through TN once a citizen, just curious as to whether any other uk lawyers are out there and how the visa situation was????

You can go TN once a citizen...though I think someone was saying that in that situation there's some form of greencard to allow to you work over the border if you lived in Canada...can't remember the details..but something to look into if it is a possibility...and you might want to ask in the US visa section of the site, and might be able to find some answers with a quick search as I know there have been a few Canadians asking about it recently.

We would be only to pleased to give you some advice.

I believe $150 per hour is the going rate!!



PS. Oh I nearly forgot, we'll be needing a $2000 minimum retainer for our services.

Thats a bit unfair Matt ..In some areas there are less that 5 lawyers per 100 population..
