I booked flights to Tampa yesterday for £369 return for Dec. Thought that was a good price, paid over £4oo last year.

Balls. I just bought my flights back to Inverness for Xmas last night, before I saw this.

My problem with BA is that the landing fees/taxes at Heathrow are usually more than the actual ticket price.

It was really only half a US Air flight though as going out I ended up on Continental via IAH (Houston) thanks to USeless Air cancelling their PHL - LHR flight an hour before departure. Apparently a crew no-show to blame. That's pretty bad for a major airline to do. It's the sort of thing a regional airline does. I'm amazed they didn't have a standby crew at their own hub!

I just came back from UK this week. Flew US(eless) Air FLL - LHR round trip for $800 which was about $400 cheaper than going to LGW. Not sure quite why it was so much cheaper going into LHR than LGW.

Yes it was a bit of an upgrade from the old A330-200's. Just a shame loosing a day and having to go 3+ hrs in the wrong direction. However it could have been worse like EWR - LHR on CO's even older B757-200s (but quicker) but that wasn't an option.
