Any experiences with San Diego as POE?

Hello:
I wanted to know if anyone has used San Diego as their POE with the K-1 Visa?
I did a search and it was fruitless, nor are there any San Diego experiences posted on the Rolling POE list.
British Airways now flies directly from Gatwick to San Diego, and that's the route my fiance will be taking.
Since this is a new route, I want to make sure that Immigration is up to snuff (so to speak) here in SD, before he books his flight. Thanks in advance!
