Any Chelsea fans in Los Angeles area
You can meet Chelsea FC at the Santa Monica, CA store on Saturday July 30th at 2PM, they will be will be unveiling the new shirt and signing autographs;
http://www.adidas.com/conceptstores/...site=adidascom
The new shirt is obviously by Adidas which is a shame as Umbro one of the last UK sports shirt brands made the last one.
I already have my question written out for Frank Lampard when I meet him on Saturday:
So Frankie, on a scale of 1 to 10, how big a ****** did you feel when you missed that penalty?

Re: Any Chelsea fans in Los Angeles area
I posted this a week ago after I went in the Adidas store and asked 2 people that work in the sore what the deal was with the Chelsea team autograph signing. After talking to the first 'manager type person' who did not seem to know who Chelsea were and what members of the team were coming ( despite a huge 8' X 8' poster in the store window) I was passed to a Hispanic guy who at least knew what football was. I asked what the procedure was and he told me it would not be a problem, and just to show up on the day at 2PM.
I showed up an hour early today at 1PM, there was a long line and I stood in it, after 5 minutes an Adidas store security person walked the line informing people to go home if they did not have a 'ticket'.
What ticket I thought, referring to my conversation a whole week earlier I was informed that 300 tickets had been given out to the first 300 people that morning, which could have been me had I been given the correct information since the store is only 3 blocks from my house. There were a lot of irate people standing in the line with their little kids dressed in Chelsea and England shirts, in talking with them many had come pretty far San Diego ( 120 miles), Riverside (50 miles), the guy behind me had his 2 little girls and had come from Long Beach (40 miles ) after calling the store only yesterday and had not been informed of any ticketing procedure. There was even one little kid in a wheelchair that could not get in.
What a complete bunch of idiots Adidas are, they could not run a piss-up in a brewery. I will not be buying anything with 3 stripes on it in the future

I felt sorry for all the disappointed little kids all decked out in footie stuff.
Someone at Adidas corporate screwed up big time............. not unusual to underestimate the attraction of a soccer event in the good ol US of A
