Hello,

Their are a number of Brits in the Rochester area. A thread was setup about a year ago and a couple of us got together a few times last Spring.

How long have you been over here? How are you enjoying the up-state NY winter so far?

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the welcome...I moved to Rochester in August from London. I certainly don't mind the snow and I ensure I go for a walk everyday, but I cannot wait to find a job! From what I am told by relatives back home, it is a lot colder in the UK.

I've been over here snce 2003 and I came over to Rochester just when Kodak and Zerox let 50,000 people go so the job market wasn't very good, much like now. What industry are you looking for employment in?

I think that the UK has had it fairly bad this winter, but I've got some weatherbug screenshots showing temperatures from past years which I get chills just by looking at them.
