Well, with having kids these days, we don't really get to go and hang out too much and when we do it is at friends' homes or somewhere like a chain restaurant like Carrabbas or Applebees.

My brother and his wife go out often as they work right in that area -- they talk about going to this Scottish pub called the Tilted Kilt or the tres upscale Venue. For a fun place to hang out beachside, you can't beat Shepards on Clearwater Beach.

Hope that helps.

Thank you. Yes, we have been to those places but they are so crowded and loud you don't get the chance to talk to anyone so you don't know who is who...LOL...

Sure! We went to New York New York last night and got the DJ to play some trance music and I got lectured that miami house music is in fact electrotechno, huh:mad: does it matter?

So it wasn't that bad after all; we started out in Shephards and we didn't like the music at all so we swang over to NY instead.

It used to be old folks - well they still do the line dancing thing - but now they have younger people there too and there is always room to dance.

Shall we meet there? We could invade NY NY and get some decent music running!

Sounds good to me! There are some cool hang out spots in Dunedin which wouldn't be toooo far for ole' Ray and I to travel to.

FYI -- there is a Tampa Bay area Brits group on meetup.org that has regular get togethers. Never made it to one though as I'm always doing summit else.

Yes, that's the thing with meet-ups, never find the time to go to those either.
I think there is a club in Dunedin, they meet every wednesday in a Scottish bar or pub; it maybe worth checking out....
We will probably go back to NYNY in 2 weeks time so if anybody wants to join us, you're welcome to come along!;)
