I found their shop when I lived in Scotland, and am oh so happy their opening in Cinci. I've been spending way too much time on shipping costs.
PaulS, do I assume you are a guy? If so, I can understand why you would not like Lush..it's mostly a female addict that buys their products. If you're a woman, well, I can't comprehend why you wouldn't like their stuff!

Lived in Glasgow for bout 6mo while attending uni there..visited Edinburgh, Stirling and Inverness and a few other places while there. Let's see, if I remember my geography, Fife was just north of Edinburgh?

They have a BT telephone exchange near there someplace. I was chatting up an operator a few years back and getting the green light until I asked her where she was....."Kirkcaldy, Scotland".....Click!!

Oh no doubt that the traffic is positively terrible around Kenwood mall. That C&B has been under construction since last year. Made Kenwood's parking lot horrible. If you're not familiar with Lush, here's the link to their US website: www.lushusa.com. They sell bath products that are all-natural. Love most of their lotions and bath bombs.

Regarding Kenwood - the key is to approach from Galbraith, not Kenwood if you can help it, and DEFINITELY not Montgomery Rd. It makes a night and day difference.
Still - parking in the front (I like Ann Taylor Loft and Pottery Barn) is always a nightmare. The valet parking for restaurants bugs me - c'mon - do you need valet parking at a mall restaurant?
Kenwood has done a good job of reinventing itself. Rookwood initially stole a lot of its business - but Kenwood has sort of repositioned itself. They are opening a Nordstroms where Parisian used to be. Too much $$ for me.

Re: any brits in kentucky
Doesn't seem to be much happening in this thread so I'll probably post in the N. KY/Cincy one too...
I'm Alan/Al, I've been here in KY for over 6 years. I lived in Lexington for 4 of those, Frankfort for 2, and am moving back to Lexington at the end of this month (was just too bored in Frankfort). To my surprise, I'm 33 now! (How the hell did that happen?) Married, two kids (1yo + almost 6), self employed (advertising). Wife is a 'native' so just me, though I've Anglicised her a lot over the 7 years or so.
I've resolved to meet some like-minded individuals as I've just never settled since I arrived. My wife is American and despite the supposed huge presence of ex-pats and Irish here, I've met a total of 3 in my 6 years and none since I stopped playing indoor footy about 3 years ago. I find making a connection with people here hard, and unless the average Kentuckian starts substituting the words Church for Pub, Jesus for football/soccer and iced tea for nice cold Stella, I fear I may never fit in. So, best bet is to go with what you know...
If anyone is still around and interested in getting together for a beer, a game or whatnot please drop me a line. I'll keep popping in to see if anything is happening....but I've not noticed any Lexington folk so far. We go to Louisville occassionally, Cincy too.
Cheers
Al
