Hi Melo,

Sorry I am not in Texas but wanted to welcome to the site. I know we have quite a few members down your way so jumped right in on the USA forum and the Trailer Park and say hi.

Hi Melo
I'm in Katy, and I know a few others that are in this kind of location too - sugarmooma, chocolatebabz, dougster75. Perhaps we can arrange a coffee and a meet up - that would be fun!!!!
I'll PM the others and see what they think, unless they read this in which case let's get on with it!!

Alas, we are in Seabrook which is on the southeastern side of Houston. Might as well be the other side of the state.

Welcome though and best of luck to you!

Hi Melo

I'm in Katy. Drop me a PM if you are still looking to meet up with some Brits. Whereabouts are you?

Hi Melo,

Welcome! We arrived in Katy (Cinco) at the end of May and so we're pretty new but we (especially the missus) have met up with quite a few expats (English and Scottish) in the Cinco/Seven Meadows area and we are enjoying it (after a few bumpy moments at the beginning).

We'd be happy to introduce you to anyone we know. UKintexas has PM'd and I have no doubt will be far better at organising the initial meet-up than we would be.

Cheers,

Doug.

OK, all, how about a meet up at the British Pub at La Centerra seeing as a few of us are in the Katy area. How fitting would that be? Am going to suggest Sunday 6th September at 2pm. That way, we can have some drinks and the kids can amuse themselves too.

Everyone whose in, just reply here and we'll get it organized. Am excited!

Just checked my calendar and guess what - there's nothing on it as usual . Yes you can count me in !. Will haul my butt up from Pearland. Hubby will be home that weekend and flying to Brazil that night so hopefully I can talk him into coming too (otherwise just me and my dude !).

Is that the Baker Street pub?

I'll see if I hubby's up for it. Maybe I can wrangle a trip to Katy Mills out of it too!

Yep, that's right - Baker Street Pub in La Centerra. I'm nice and close so I'll see if I can get there a bit earlier and get us some tables organized - it will be fun to meet everyone! I'm going to post a separate thread with the meet up title, just in case people don't look at this one.
