I Just wonder if any Brits been caught up with this indian change of policy with there visa's ect..

Seems like this is a mess if your on a tourist visa in that country..

I hope the indian Goverment can see to work this out..

yes, I am and I know of several others too...Brits and other foreigners.

it is a horrible mess. I guess we knew it would be uncertain, and I had been worrying about the lack of clarity for some time. Discovered the situation by accident a few days ago via a travel news bulletin. Has been preying on my mind ever since.

If it was just me I could struggle and make something happen but I have four beautiful cats (two are sleeping beside me now)and I don't see how they could make a transition anywhere. If I leave them behind their future doesn't bear thinking about...they shoot cats and there is no animal welfare here (and not a lot for people).

Have about three months to figure it before I have to leave.

Any thoughts/ideas/comments/suggestions welcome.
