Paws3 is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Antique gun

My husband has an antique gun that he wants to bring with us to the UK. The firing pin can be removed. There are no bullets. Can he ship it?

If it is a genuine antique as defined in section 58(2) of the Firearms Act 1968.

Basically a curio or ornament that is a genuine antique (which basically means old, but how old is not defined). The Home Office also say it must be in an obsolete calibre, although that has no legal standing.

http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/publica...s-Guidance.pdf - page 35 and Appendix 5 are the relevant bits.
