Default Another one added to my list.

Well I thought I had heard them all but apprantly not! Today I was asked if I was Swiss... yeap you read right Swiss

So that is added to the list of...are you.

Austrailian
Scottish
Dutch
Irish
Welsh
South African
Canadian
German
English
and now Swiss.

The first person that asks if I am French gets a black eye.

I am thinking about asking my boss for a UN flag so when someone asks where I am from I can point to it and tell them to take their pick!

And the stupidest (is that a word?) question asked so far... What language do you speak in England? is it Dutch? :scared:

Someone actually asked "do you speak English in England? I thought you spoke British"
I've had someone say "oh, that's funny, so there is an Oxford in England"

As for nationalities, I've had:
Irish
Scottish
Welsh
British
South African
Ozzie
Kiwi
Chinese
Thai
Korean
Malay
Vietnamese
Brazilian....now that was random, like wtf?

Actually, they are all fairly random...why can't English be a fairly obvious guess?

But why does everything have to be a part of London? *lol*

In three and a half years I have been asked no more than six or seven times if I am Australian, otherwise I have had nobody ever ask me if I am anything other than British/ English, which happens frequently (more often than monthly).

It's not important - when was the last time anything of any significance happened in Wales?

..... Sorry, that's a trick question - the answer is "never"!

I was asked one time if I came from Kentucky
I am from Yorkshire and I still have the accent.
I told the guy no I didn't as I didn't have a brother I could marry!
He wasn't too happy with the reply as he came from Kentucky :scared:

Yesterday I was asked if I missed life in Sweden. It was my grandmother in law asking the question.

Bless her heart, she probably was thinking about you having lived in Spain, and you know those S countries all sound alike.

I've had the Australian 'connection' before, many times. I tell 'em, sure, I'm from the south but not that far south!!

One of my ancient inlaw relatives practiced a Spanish greeting for when they first met me. I very politely explained that I was in fact English and just lived in Spain. They told me it was nonsense and of course I was Spanish.

I'm from Sussex and I've been called Austrailian twice this week.

I was also asked if I was Spanish, over the phone.
