Another health cost anomaly
Mrs L had carpel tunnel surgery on December 29th. The copay last year for day outpatient surgery was $300, for 2018 it was $250. Hospital bill is dated January 8th and the copay is $250. Nice $50 reduction to start the New Year.
Of course yearly changes normally work against the patient, so no doubt if the copay had gone up we would have paid more. Something else to check on health bills. |

Date of service should dictate copay. So don't be surprised if insurance claims your copay is $300...
