My husband (UKC) and I are thinking about using Anglo Pacific removers in a few months once he gets his IV. They say that they can only begin the moving process once he receives his green card and is able to receive it in America when it arrives. My question is, does that really mean he's got to come to America first before they even start packing things up? Or is it that he just needs to visa stamp in his passport after the interview to start getting things done? Thanks!

P.S. If anyone can recommend other movers they've had good success with, feel free to let me know! Thanks, guys.

I suspect what they mean is, they need to see a valid Visa...I could be wrong. I am just going by my experience. Per some custom regulations, I had to provide visa and passport copies. I moved from Australia though and with the help of Anglo Pacific association in Aus.

We used Anglo Pacific, i dont recall giving them copies of our visas, but we did give them copies of our passports as they were needed for customs. Actually thinking about it maybe we did give them our visa details, as we had a big form to fill out with our entry dates etc.

I can certainly recommend them, they did a good job with our move

If one of you's a USC* then that sounds like bollocks to me. We used Robinson's and they just did all the customs paperwork in SWMBO's name (she's a USC), 'cos it would be easier.

*If neither of you are then I haven't a clue, I'm afraid.

Well my husband talked to them (and yes btw, I'm USC), and he was a bit confused. But I think they mentioned it because of some kind of tax or something, not sure. But yeah, I'm thinking they will just need visa info and entry dates and all that stuff, and that's it. It wouldn't make sense for it to be the actual green card since you don't get that for a while after POE.
