Anglican churches in Dallas/Fort worth????????
We are returning back to the Dallas area shortly. I am Church of England originally but we have tried a few different denominations in Dallas. My husbands family are all Pentecostal and we went to their church for a while - however it was not to my liking at all. We went to an Anglican church and it was more to my liking but there was a strong emphasis on things like paying your tithe and always being at every service. I realize after living in the US for many years that Christianity is somewhat different to what I am used to in the UK. I would like to attend a church that isn't pushy, is not preaching at me to do certain things all the time and demanding I pay tithe. I am perfectly willing to give financially but being forced or threatened to paying is not what I like at all.
Is there anyone living in the Dallas Metroplex that know of or attends a church that is not so hyped up?

What you're looking for is an Episcopal church, for that is the "global brand" of the Anglican church.

You could try the Unity church.
My MiL goes occasionally, apparently its quite a relaxed spiritual sort of deal.

Pulaski already gave the answer. Anglican = Episcopalian out here.

Tithing or giving is a common practice here, and even Episcopalian churches are pushing to get your money.
This Dallas Episcopalian church has a $1.5M annual budget, and that money has to come from somewhere http://incarnation.org/about-giving/

Reading the OP, I suspect the OP already knew that. She attended an Anglican Church (i.e. Episcopalian) in Dallas...
