To AndrePetterson

You have trolled about your obsessive dream of living and working in New York City and your disappointment that your skills will not enable you to get a work visa.

I suggested an avenue of pursuit in one of your threads and you never responded. The suggestion is that you look into applying for the Diversity Lottery under your wife. If she gets it, that will include you as a recipient of a green card for living and working in the US with an avenue to citizenship down the line.

I urge you to please look into this.

Chances of success in any one year for one person is just under 2%, which can be doubled for a married couple because they can both enter even if one spouse is not eligible in their own right.

4% is better than a 0% chance in the employment market.

And much better than wasting years trying to act on a zero percent.

To be honest, do it for 15 years (which it can take for some of the family petitions to come through) and you start to run into decent probability.

One theory is that Mr Petterson doesn't exist.

It was the online username either set up by the New York City tourism board or some American immigration attorney ^_*

The person is real. Whether or not this Andre Pettersson is the real Andre Pettersson... time will tell. If he's not the real person, then he's a very good liar. Either way, it's been quite entertaining.

May I politely request that we leave this thread unencumbered with responses that will take it completely into another realm.

It is a suggestion only thread for Mr. Pettersson on a possible way for he and his spouse to come to the US.

Thanks everyone.

So why not just send him a private message?

Maybe Rete wanted to inform other posters maybe there is another route.

Also we ask that immigration advice is not given by PMs...but posted on the forums.

Thread closed.

AndrePettersson...before opening any more threads I suggest you read through the information given in the following link and also do research yourself (Google is your friend ;)).

After you have done your research...if you feel the need to open a thread...please do not open multiple threads of a similar nature as they will be closed or deleted. Thank you.
