Question American style fridge freezer

Hi
Moving out to the New Jersey next week and unfortunately been let down by the buyer of our fridge freezer, so now in a panic trying to find another buyer.
I have been told that it is possible to get these f/f adapted to work in the states which would be wunderbar, if that is the case, it would save me a lot of grief. Can someone out there confirm this.

Is it really worth it to ship it over here?

Don't you have any relatives or friends who could sell it for you after you've gone?

It would be just as much to ship it as to buy another! If you are moving to the NYC/NJ area I would suggest PC Richards if you are looking to buy!

If you can't get a mate or someone to flog it for you, or do a quick ebay sale, best bet would be to dump it, be cheaper than shipping it over just to take the hit than bother with shipping, plus wouldn't know how well something like that would work with power convertions as it's somin' running all day ain't it...

Thanks for the comments - actually do not have to pay for shipping which is why we thought if it can be converted would be better to bring than dump.

Homes do have access to 220v so if it won't convert to 110v, you can always have a socket fitted with the 220v. If you are not having to pay for shipping then I suppose you have nothing to lose
