Re OP britvic and Penguinsix gave excellent advice, as we don't know you so travel there do some research as to what/where you or your fellow countrymen are and like over there etc

Do you like quiet towns or city lights, the beach or the country, historical beauty etc.
York and Cheshire as JG said are beautiful.

I couldn't live in Arizona for one minute but then I hate the sun. Good luck in your planning and whatever or wherever you decide to do

I would second parts of Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Cheshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Derbyshire as very lovely locations to live in.

There really are some nice parts of the UK, aren't there?

There are stunning parts to the UK, I would add loads in Scotland, but OP only wanted England

The only thing I'd say about some parts of Lincolnshire is its hard or takes a long time getting in and out of it re rest of England.
Bath is lovely, I forgot about Bath.

If you like the country Derbyshire is lovely. I lived in Derby before coming here.
