American gal....for now?

Re: American gal....for now?
My husband and I think all we do is pay bills bills and more bills. Big ones are electric ($200+ in Arizona in the summer), rent of course, car payment, student loans (will be paying that FOREVER at how much I owe), and medical bills...a lovely co-insurance and deductable everytime we or our son is seen. Oh well guess that is life...just paying bills.

Now there are other rooms similar in size to a box room, and it has a strange cupboard space for storage, and it has a window. I'm guessing the room would be 5 x 6. Would this also be considered a box room considering the storage?

Seriously, many of the square box rooms here that I have seen have no windows.

Re: American gal....for now?
We live 20 miles south of London in Crawley, West Sussex. Currently we're living in a 600 sq ft, two bedroom flat and our monthly rent is £750.
Most of the three bedroom houses in our area cost £900 to £1100 to rent per month.
The third bedroom in many of the houses is a "box room". A box room doesn't have any windows and is about the size of an American walk in closet. Most people I know who have such a room use it for storage only.

P.S. In some larger cities here in the US it is REALLY expensive too probably as bad as London. In New York you pay $2000-3000 a month for a small apartment sometimes it is a total DUMP.

I actually had a close friend from high school whose mother was Scottish....my friend herself had never been to the UK and never did get dual citizenship through her mother but she was convinced that she was going to move to London and live there all on her own with no college education or formal training...and no money

By the way something funny...my husband gets annoyed when some people here don't know what a "black and tan" is when he orders a beer. Sometimes the waitress just gives him a blank stare and they go to ask the bartender. It's kind of funny... He said the beer in England was really really good
