The only thing I can think of is good Mexican food - but then since I lostmy job I make it myself so I guess I could do that back in England anyway.
Oh and someone mentioned Giffords icecream! The Black raspberry one....:0)
Apart from things like 'Maine Lobster' etc, everything else people have mentioned I used to get back in Blighty anyway.
Works both ways - over here I make sausage rolls, cornish pasties and scotch eggs from scratch, have converted my husband!
Anyway. As I can't go back doesn't matter doesit?! Hmmmph.

And I think your right, it's mostly the local things that are missed because they don't travel so well.

I don't know, but do they have real barbecue, over there? I mean the slow smoked brisket, pulled pork, ribs, etc. rubbed with herbs and spices before smoking, and with zero barbecue sauce, I mean absolutely zero barbecue sauce, in sight, or even in the same county.
