Reminds me of one of the times the wife visited me when I was still in the UK. Took her to Sainsbury's which she liked but was amused by the American food section which was essentially just Tex/mex rubbish.

Your right that is def an american, cracks me up when people say 'Velveeta cheese' how can that stuff be even in the same class as cheese *gag*, hubby loves it though.

On one of my trips to Istanbul, we went to a "supermarket" grocery store. They had a package of something called "American salad", which turned out to be what we Americans call "potato salad". I just got a kick out of Turks calling it "American salad", as if we Americans don't eat green tossed salads!

i always wonder when i see the british sections. Yes i recognise the cadburys biscuits and typhoo, cross and blackwell etc but there are also several brands of stuff i NEVER ever saw before .
