hmmm.... too bad hammersmith_cockney has fled the coop....

okay any eligible bachelors, make sure you have a picture in the Rogues Gallery.... of course it doesn't have to be you!!!!

So Daizy I'm interested in the anglophile aspect as I have a terminal condition of it myself. Was chatting with a colleague in Hampshire this morning and he said from the conversation it was as if I lived up the road!

My mother and grandmother brought me up to be a Jane Austen/House of Windsor/Beatrix Potter sort of Anglophile with regular instalments of Masterpiece Theatre and bookshelves full of the classic murder mysteries. I discovered the more entertaining reality in the 80s as a fan of Brit-angst-pop and the music scene still enthralls me.

I too have a British ("I'm not British, I'm English!" he shouts from the peanut gallery) ex-fiance, who taught me a LOT about England while simultaneously ripping my heart out and stomping it on the ground and turning my life upside down and inside out. However I remain an Anglophile and he remains a loser no matter what country he lives in!
