Just went onto Amazon uk to look at some pressies to send home and it seems you can order from their site in jersey to avoid the vat, tesco online is also offering, they seem to have reasonable selection of dvd's, cd's etc and it saved a few quid.

I know I just used both Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk right after each other with my US card and it worked with no problems. Didn't even have to pay shipping on a few DVD's in the UK.
