Amazing how "American" they claim to be, yet go abroad to fund raise for an election.

It's just plain wrong....no matter who is doing it.

The sheer volume of money is astounding. I know a lot of folks don't like the citizens united decision but I don't mind money being outside the control of the political elite. And heck, it's not like they make ads any worse than the two candidates. Just my 02.

On the plus side race won't be an issue because you can't tell - both of them are covered in mud

Anyhoodles, the point I was making about Obama needing to raise more money wasn't a statement about him presently having more (or less) money than Romney. What I was referring to is the fact that right now Obama is outspending Romney seven-to-one yet the race is still very tight. That fact, in cadence with the alarming rate at which Romney is raising money, is a matter of concern for the Dems.

Likely raising money from Expats abroad. "Foreigners with no permanent US residency are prohibited from contributing to any political candidates at any level."

And regarding PACS: "Political action committees operated by foreign-owned corporations may contribute to campaigns as long as American citizens are the only contributors to the PAC."

I just can't get past the idiots like Hannity, Rush, Beck etc. I cannot support a party that has these guys as their mouth pieces.

For sure

I can't wait for it to be over! (dark music) [other guy] says he's for [healthy babies, decent jobs, apple pie]. But why did he say [we need more dead babies, apple pie sucks] in a private fundraiser just last week? [other guy] is BAD for babies, BAD for America. (Paid for by the committee to make America great sometime)

Suddenly, going postal makes sense!

Yes, that episode summed it up pretty well, didn't it? That was during an era where we had a competent bloke in the White House as well ...

A year after the financial downturn, the number of people in the US WITHOUT medical insurance increased by approx 4 MILLION - the first increase since tracking began in 1987...

The last census indicates that just over 50 million people in the US are without health insurance.

Those without health insurance are 40% more likely to die as a result of medical issues than those with... An increase from the 25% that it was circa 1993... Mainly a result of medical care improving for those who do use medical services...

... Suggesting that those with insurance don't always have affordable access to the care they need...

Edit: comparative study of healthcare & costs of 12 countries including US and USA by Commonwealth Foundation - interesting data... US spends 50% more than others, but isn't first in health quality... or even 6th...

If ANY of this is acceptable as a state of affairs to anybody in any party, they need a right good kick in the slats in my NSHO...
