Sounds like ours. And yet our local, UK based one which we used until recently was fantastic, with our agent understanding and remembering what you want to the extent you could ring her up, give her the dates of travel and just say "same as last time" and it would all be done.

Perhaps the difference is a remote, corporate call centre vs an embedded, dedicated office on site?

Ours isn't even a call centre, it's just a bunch of barely-trained agents working from home.
