on whether you live in the ghetto of Birmingham or a log cabin on the slopes of the ridgeback mountains.

It's like asking what's it like to live in England. Depends on where you live, Alabama is a big place. Living in the Gulf Shores is different to living in Birmingham but both are in Alabama.

What city?

Re: Alabama?

city-data.com it's still going to be a good site for the city you're looking at.

The general info in your other threads will still be valid, with things like rent, groceries and utilities being the main difference in cost of living and quality of schooling/climate for quality of living.

You get up in the morning. You go do your stuff, somewhere along the way you eat, and then you go to bed at night.

A friend of mine lives in Huntsville -- she tells me about the tornado sirens going off. Apparently there has been such an uptick in tornadoes in Alabama that the experts are saying that it should be added to the "Tornado Alley" states.
