Depending on how soon you want the car will depend on what they can offer you. The sales guy I dealt with is called Douglas Boehning - good guy and very helpful. I must have spent total of about an hour on the phone with him going over cars... If you call, ask for him...
I also had Doug, top man at Intl Auto, very helpful thoroughout.

Yeap - Douglas is our guy too - had a good chat with him yesterday, so I'm sure we'll get something sorted.

Can you use the auto insurance part without using the $400 joining fee?

Nope - the difference between insurance for members and non-members is much more than the $400 membership fee though. Cant remember exactly what it was at the time, but I did ask...

Correct dh010447 - the saving is great.

I just dug out the general terms from an email. We're paying about $2k per year for 2 cars worth about $80k total. Other companies wanted well over $2k for the LR3 on its own.

Bodily Injury $100/300,000 Per Person/Per Accident
Property Damage $100,000 Each Accident
PIP Basic
Un/Underinsured Motorist BI $100/300,000 Per person/Accident
Other than Collision $500 Deductible
Collision $500 Deductible
Towing & Labor $75.00 Per Disablement
Extended Transportation $50 Per Day / Maximum $1500

Looks like you'll be in good company then because AIG doesn't have a credit score either, these days....

Bump, has anyone used this recently? I already have a car and insurance sorted but the credit card options sounds great. Instant credit! That would be worth the fee alone.....

I called them today. They were helpful. Basically you need a job to get a creditcard so not suitable for everyone. I bet a couple years ago you didnt LOL.

But nonetheless, seems pretty decent deal.

Oh well - worth a try....

We moved on a company transfer, so the job requirement was not issue...

My company provides one year AIG membership as part of relocation contract (anyone relocating - maybe negotiate this in)

The insurance quote they have given for myself and my wife, Audi A6 3.0 litre (second hand...) is 163usd per month. I think that's great: we didn't own a car in Singapore so have no recent car insurance history.
