Default AIG

Has anyone had any experience of using the AIG Global Expatriate Assistance Services?
It is a one off paid service that seems to offer assistance with sourcing a range of insurance, credit cards, mobiles and even cars.
Just wondered if anyone had used it and felt that it was valuable/ useful?
Thanks

Yes. It was great - totally worth the money.

The cost of ?$450 was recuperated in the first six months based on the car insurance quotes they got for us - compared to what we could find. They make it all so easy since they deal with companies used to dealing with ex-pats and our lack of US driving history, no US driving license etc.

We used them to help us get our first non-secured credit card once we had social security numbers. No probs there either.

Then the biggie - we wanted to buy a house after we'd been here about 6 months and they put us in touch with Wells Fargo's international team. It went great and we still have the same mortgage because it was such a great deal.

It's a concierge service so you can ask them to do just about anything for you, we had a couple of odd-ish requests but they came through.

Saved me a load of time, money and hassle.

I have heard that International Autosource will give you this as part of the lease/buy car deal.

That is so helpful, thank you! We were almost certainly going to use International Auto Source for one of our cars, so l will look into that. It sounds as if it is a good service and anything that makes life easier, has to be worth it! Thank you

We used them too, but it was 5 years ago.

Totally worth the payment just for the savings and assistance with car insurance.

Good luck!
