There was a thread a while ago about which adverts made you crazy. Rather than hash up an old thread I thought I would start a new one. Obviously this opens me up for a repetitive thread disorder attack but hey, I'm a big guy and I can take it.

What is it with inappropriate adverts at the moment. There is the GMC advert where their mate falls into a frozen lake and is frozen to death and in a Homage to Weekend at Bernies they take him around everywhere (one girl even thinks the corpse is cute)

Then there are 2 adverts for Miller dark which mixes Alcohol with extreme violence. Is america the only country in the world which would advertise Alcohol with violence?

There are a couple more but I am very tired

I hate the two "natural male enhancement" ads with the bloke who looks like he sleeps with a coathanger in his mouth every night:
"this is Bob...."

What drives me up the wall about these ads (no.1 Bob comes home and waves at his neighbour whose hosepipe then goes all limp, no.2 Bob jumps in the neighbour's pool and doesn't realise his trunks have come off) is not just that they're on all the bloody time on Fox soccer channel, but that they always show no. 2 immediately following no. 1 - I've never seen either of them separately, even though they both look like stand alone ads.

The Tampax Pearl Advert where she wont jump into the ocean because she is on her period then she finally strips to her bra and panties and jumps off the pier into the ocean.

What you don't see is 30 seconds they are all attacked by sharks!

what about those ads for genital herpes? or that really f***ing annoying shouting guy selling BAM! i would love to feed that cleaner to him iv! should shut him up for a while!

Well right now, those pepsi adverts where they use the "stunt" double with coke...and that whole slagging the competition off instead of saying what makes them great...

The ads for Comcast are particularly annoying at the moment, because they are so bloody negative. I'm waiting for the ad that claims that satellite dishes cause all manner of nasty diseases.

Ads for Cash Creek casino are driving me nuts....they have them one after the other,with the same crappy music.Please make them stop. :eek:

I agree wholeheartedly, however, the "Bob no. 3" advert was pretty funny. It's not shown anymore though, possibly due to the reference to Bob "Improving his long game, with his new wood" :D

I seem to recall seeing them both seperately. Having said that I usually start channel flicking whenever they come on (I must be in denial) so I could be wrong. :)

At 7pm on the way home on the radio, I heard an ad for a viagra-like drug, talking about orgasms and lasting a long time. Honestly if there were kids in the car, that would have been annoying.

I dont know what its called then, its a Miller beer and the hook line is the world of light beer just got darker - thats why I thought it was called Miller Dark. It must be a crap advert if I dont know what the name of the product is, all I can remember is the violence!

I thought of another The Hummer advert that shows the world from space at the end of the commercial as if to say, take one last look at the ozone layer because if you drive a Hummer there will be non of the Fuker left soon!

What about the guy standing by his SUV, outside his detached (sorry one family home), then cleaning his swimming pool, then mowing his lawn on his sit down mower saying with a big grin on his face 'and I am in debt right up to my eyeballs'. Priceless.

And speaking of Beer how about those two stupid Guinness cut-out guys that keep yelling out "brilliant" all the time. They make me shudder :eek:

I didn't mind the one where they wore Limburger cheese hats at the tailgate, but now the guinness ad with the "bloopers" really really annoys me.

The Guinness advert was funny at first, now its just gone overboard.

And someone please shoot that Billy Mayes guy with his oxy this and oxy that. He drives me nuts along with all those other "not available in stores" adverts that are $19.95 but "if you call in the next ten minutes we'll double it, reduce a payment, add a bath robe" etc etc etc.
