Accents....

I've noticed after the last 10 years of living in the USA that after I've been to England for a week or 2, upon my return to the USA, people notice my accent a LOT LOT more for the next week or 2. I always thought I always had an English accent !!

I never realise how much "american" I have like become (note the unnecessary like)..

The reason you aren't getting much response is that we just went through this . . .

My kids have been in the US for 7 years, and have Texan/Louisianna accents
, but their mother (me), has made a huge point not to have one

I can mimmick amlot of accents after a short period of hearing it. but I refuse to have a US one, I am too old to pick one up "naturally" and I have heard tooo many British accents with an American tilit, and I find it totallt "cringe worthy"
