The only part I liked of LA was the Chinese Theater and walk of the stars and the Tolerance Museum.. I am not in a rush to visit LA again..

Hi Annabella,
Not trying to start an argument but I've lived here all my adult life.On previous posts I 've defended the jewels that LA has to offer if you scratch the surface beyond the same old tourist spots.
Kind of like saying I visited London and Piccadilly Circus was the only parts I liked or NYC and saying Times Square was the best bit.
Fair enough if you like that kind of thing but I just wonder how many of the following places you visited, in addition to loads of other places I haven't even listed.

LA has it's problems like any other major city such as NYC, Paris, London etc. But if you think Mann's Chinese Theater and the shitty Hollywood walk of fame is the best thing, I would respectfully suggest you could perhaps plan your trip a little better.

I do realise that some of you live in LA and I understand that you'll defend it and that you obviously like it or you would not be there and that's why I could have elaborated on why I dislike the place but I won't go there..

I did visit most of the places that you suggest in previous posts and I am just giving my opinion when I say what places I liked.. last time I checked I was entitled to my own opinion ..

Fair enough. I guess you've seen as much of LA as I have, taking that into account I'm surprised Mann's Chinese Theatre and Hollywood walk of fame would still top your recommendations. As you say, that's your opinion and you are perfectly entitled to it.
Sorry I offered some other options to the OP.

Don't be silly, the OP will appreciate it for sure :).. and I don't like the place but I might end up commuting there for work (though this is early days and I'm not sure that it'll happen) so I can't knock it completely :o..

Re: 24 hours in LA

In L.A I suggest
Starting at Huntington Gardens, San Marino, going for lunch in Pasadena, driving to the Grove to to see the Farmers Market, next stop Beverley Hills to just be able to say you've been there. Next is Santa Monica Beach to relax - you will need it after the driving. Dinner in Larchmont followed by a hotel close to LAX for the remainder of the flight.

Works for me anyway.
