(I don't know whether it's even possible for a Sikh to be a Muslim. Is it? I don't think so.) Beating up a Sikh because he's a Sikh of whatever colour is religious bigotry, but not racism, I think.

I have an old truck and never lock it, well the central locking went wobbly, can not imagine doing that in the UK. So I don't see what your point is at all as you're not comparing apples to apples. |

I can't imagine doing that in Boston either. Whilst I have left the car unlocked in some parts of the UK too.
So I don't see what your point is at all as you're not comparing apples to apples. I'm curious. Do you really think a dedicated thief is interested in whether your car is locked or unlocked? Same goes for a house. You really think a thief tests doors to see if they are locked or not? |

Same goes for a house. You really think a thief tests doors to see if they are locked or not? We did have a stereo nicked out of an unlocked (and unused at the time) car in our driveway in a very quiet street a few years back. Joke was on them though, it was a piece of crap :D |

It's more to deter the opportunist. A 'professional' thief is going to get in no matter what (as I tell my wife when she nags me about not locking my car in the garage ...).
