Better fill up your petrol tanks today....I guess there will be shortages next week and prices will rocket...

I was working on a cruiseship just before the hurricane season started, sailing through.... the Gulf of Mexico, and our home port was.... wait for it.... Galveston!
I gather that they've relocated all the ships right now (a couple of the ships from the line I worked for are aiding the FEMA effort), but boy am I glad to be back on dry land in Maine!

On I-45 this morning a bus carrying around 45 people burst into flames, at least half were still on the bus!
There is a 100 mile traffic jam now all the way down I-45. People have run out of gas. No gas = no A/C it was over 100 deg yesterday. People will start dehydrating pretty fast in that heat.
What a Facking mess again.
I was working in College station on Tuesday (Texas A&M, 60 miles north of Houston) decided to drive back late Tuesday night instead of staying in a hotel, very glad I did know, couldn't imagine being stuck in all that carnage.
