10,000 new INS employees by 9/30
Just saw this on the INS web site.

Eventually, but don't expect any dramatic improvement overnight.
How long does it take your company to get a raw recruit trained and working efficiently, knowing all your rules, processes, and procedures?
Who is going to train 10,000 people, and who is going to do the work those trainers used to do during the training process? It takes a lot of resources to train 10,000 people.
But hey, ya gotta start if you're ever going to get finished. So maybe there will be an initial slowdown and then a noticeable improvement in something like 3 months?

the radio this morning featured a commercial with Chuck Norris telling the world that the INS needs more inspectors.
Not sure if this will help the process speed up or slow down. probably a little of both, I'm not expecting a change in time.

Probably, as the 10,000 they are seeking will probably go straight to border patrol.
