*~Thank you BE! Introducing Josie!~*
Hi everyone! I wanted to thank the community and particularly the regulars to the U.S boards for all the help and advice myself and countless others have received aver the years!
Ive been in the U.S for two years now, and on July 15th I gave birth to a little girl, Josie! My little girl has her own U.S passport even though I don't yet, and she'll be joining the jet set when we all fly to the UK for Thanksgiving!
My boys are enjoying life in America. In fact, I don't think my now 7yr old will really remember ever living in the UK, but I try to encourage them to keep their accents and their knife and fork skills
So, good luck and happy adventures to those emobarking on the immigration journey for whatever reason, and thank you from the bottom of my heart, to the people who gave me valuable advice along the way!

Lovely thread to read! I had to laugh because I remember so well that that feeling of watching my children jump headfirst into a foreign culture without a care, without a worry about what the future will bring. Where the parents will hold back a little and remember/compare the home country's ways, children live in the present & deal with each day's realities as they arise. Kids are such good teachers of how to acclimate & make the most of whereever they land.

My two boys were born in the UK and my daughter was born here!
I tell them they each have distinct advantages. The boys kids will be auto british citizens by descent (as the boys were born in the uk), but the girls kids wont be - as she is already a citizen by descent. However - she can be president if she wants to (and she is bossy enough lol!).
