Is a yearly wage of $67000 a good income for a family of 4?:

depends where your living,, in Maine that'll be great, in MA or CA, that'll be a bit shit.

Also depends on what kind of medical insurance they provide, co-pays, deductibles cost split etc.

My husband has got a job as a nurse in Rhode Island. We will be moving over in a year to 18 months with 2 kids.
Dunno about Rhode Island, in CO it would be OK but not good assuming it came with a good benefits package.

You'd be rich in Missouri.

Well, not quite, but that would be considered a very good salary here.

It would be doable. Hospitals usually have good health insurance.

I wouldn't say good, but a better rate than other organizations is likely.

Depending on how you live (eg cars, insurance, mortgage/rent and bills) if 67,000 is the only income for 4 people I personally think it's low. You can live off it but there wont be a whole lot to save and play with.

aye, because insurance won't be cheap there...property tax isn't as painful as some other places, but it still isn't cheap either...probably won't be much change left over to go enjoy what the country has to offer anyway.

From what I've heard the premiums ain't that cheaper though (compared to companies/for profit orgnizations). I guess it depends on the size of the hospital though.

wow what an ambiguous question

depends on lots of factors.. area of the usa you are moving to, if you have to pay for healthcare, schools, what vehicles you like to drive, standard of living you're used to....etc etc....

Yes for much of Rhode Island it falls just above the median range by about $5,000.
