So - the real rates for buying a pound would be about $2.43.

If it gets that high - i might just have to do a runner from this country as I don't think ill be able to afford to send the money back to the UK that I need to :s Either that, or sell the house in the UK and use the money to pay off debts in the UK (oh, and forget to tell the US tax man about the sale)

Do you think they will come looking for me in the UK if I just get up and leave, considering that I have signed a 3 year lease for my car and 12 months rental agreement??? lol

Nah. I'd rather have the kids, anyday, than 100 million bucks.

But it is making me wonder if I should get a biz going in the UK....the way the dollar is plummeting, it might be the only way to pay for their unie!
