NO. Just the USC. It is the USC that is filing the I-864 on behalf of the alien.

Daisy, WOW!! You just filed this past January and you already have an intervew date
for April? That was fast! What office did you use? Just to be on the safe side, take
an updated Affadavit of Support including 2000 tax returns. If they don't need it
then no harm done. Better to be safe than sorry.

No they don't have to be notarized. Only the I-864 has to be.

Still doesn't make sense. They said they received the A/P in the mail. When did you
have the AOS interview. Or are you going to the Arlington office to pick up the EAD
card. If so, this is not the greencard but work authorization.

Please clarify for inquiring minds.

You are confused. You mean he is going to pick up his Employment
Authorization Document.

You have not had your adjustment of status interview yet, so no way it could be the
green card. (I-551)

If it WERE his green card, he would certainly not be using Advance Parole to travel.

Isn't that some sort of new record?

Not to doubt you, but your timeline is unbelievable the way you state it. You filed
for AOS in January of this year and are already getting your AOS INTERVIEW April 19
of the SAME YEAR?

No one but Detroit and Dallas adjust in less than one year.

You must have filed in January 2000, not 2001. Right? Please say that is
it. Many people do not even get their EAD appointments as quickly as 4 months.

If you really filed in 2001, I think you may have gotten the EAD appointment letter,
not an AOS interview letter. If not, then many people will be upset with you and if I
were you, I would keep it under your hat. ;o)

That's what I was thinking too Sandy...good thing we had our taxes done early! We
used the Kansas City Office for our AOS.

Then not a problem since you have obviously filed an extension. If you have a copy of
the extension, bring that along to prove that you have done so. Even if the extension
is only in your name.
