What's with CSC and I-751's?

According to the web page they are now processing I-751's with a receipt
notice date of June 11th 2005. 3 months ago they were processing
(according to the web page) receipt notice dates of June 6th 2005.
That's under 2 days progress a month. At this rate my June 30th one will
get processed around Christmas 2006!

Looks like CSC has ground to a halt!

Hi:

Yes, sometimes that happens on a particular type of application.

Don't assume they are handled in a linear fashion. You don't know how many applications were filed in that week. Also, staff take vacations and are sometimes assigned to other tasks temporarily. Do note that I-751 are not the ONLY line listed on cases being handled there. Also, I-751 are historically given a lower priority simply because delay in adjudication usually doesn't harm anyone all that much.

If it follows last years pattern processing may speed up again. When I filed last year around July, from the dates I saw I figured I wouldn't have my 10 year green card before summer 2005. But I got it at the end of Jan 2005 so you never know.

Good Luck

Hi,

The voice of reason as ever. :-)

Like you said the delay won't hurt me so I'll just sit and wait, but I
did enjoy the vent!

Thanks,

I'll just wait and see, next step is N-400 in June :-)
