I would say, no matter what, consult an immigration lawyer. The whole process is very complex.

I am here on a soon-to-expire H1B and for anyone accompanying on that H1B it's a bit miserable unless they can secure an H1B themselves to be able to work. My son is now 15. If we were not returning to the UK, he would not be able to work until he had his green card in what, apparently, they estimate to be about a 6 year process. Also in that time, you cannot change jobs or employers without going through the H1B process again. Sucks really. You work so hard to be legal over here.

Good luck - but definitely, get a lawyer.

Hi All,
we did make contact with an immigration lawyer who gave us some useful advice.

We're looking to take this to the next level. can anyone recommend an immigration attorney I could contact?

Couldn't you just go over on holiday, practice a Mexican accent and stay with lots of free welfare?

I'm just jelous, I'd love to be able to live over there.

She could certainly pose as a Mexican nanny - not sure it's what they're dreaming of.

Organize your thoughts before you make an appointment; have a list of questions ready & have details of the current business to hand (annual revenues etc).
