Dont forget that you need to get to Dublin or Shannon from London, when I've looked the excess baggage charge with the cheap airlines made it a VERY expensive option.
The POE is very different when you arrive with your Visa and MBE, I hated San Francisco because they were always 'jobsworth' and I had a secondary once, but it was very different.

OOOhhhhh really ! Thank you, that is a very interesting point since I will almost definitely be referred to secondary, enroute to another plane, I could be held up and miss the flight.
and/or have a hard time at a notorious POE...well its back to the drawing board. I could go from Dublin but they might question why I was going from there as I'm from London. Altermatively I wonder if there are any 'obvious' US POE's that are best avoided.

I've never really read a 'bad' POE story when someone's got their K or IV.
