Waiting time for replacement green card?
Can anyone who got their green card renewed/replaced let me know how
long it takes the BCIS to get this processed? I submitted my I-90
application close to a year ago, and still no sign! I'm doing it via
the VSC - any input is greatly appreciated.

http://www.shusterman.com/pdf/vsc.pdf says that, as of 10/15/03, I-90s
received at USCIS-VSC by 10/22/2002 were assigned to an examiner.
That means that your I-90 was probably just assigned to an examiner.
You need to allow 30 days for the USCIS examiner to approve the case. If
you have not received the PR card by then, you may ask your Congressperson
for help in getting approval of an application which is beyond usual
processing time. Call the local office of the Member of the House of
Representatives for your district, and speak with a case worker for
immigration inquiries. After you have made a personal contact, do what you
are asked, which will probably include faxing a signed Privacy Release form,
a copy of the Receipt Notice, and a one-page letter asking for help and
summarizing your problem.
