Default vwp travel with k1 in passport

Hi

Visa approved!!! Yes!!!! Now for the logistics....
Does anyone know if it is possible to enter the US under vwp once you have the K1 (or how I can find out)?

I know this may sound strange but there are a few reasons why I would like to enter first without using my K1, come back to england for a few weeks then enter again, this time using the K1.

Thank you!

Thanks. I didnt expect there to be a cut and dry answer, as with much else in this battle.

Dont think Ill take the risk in that case.

Extraordinarily rare, mainly done with Canadians at a land border but I have read one Spanish experience and one other VWP country (maybe Australia?) where this happened.
It would definitely be a gamble on the flight, or accepting a K-1 admission before you wanted.
